Infertility and: Alleve, Motrin, Toradol, Cox-2 Inhibitors etc.

Yes, I know I have been rotten at updating this blog BUT I will be better about it and intend to have some kind of update every week.

So here's the deal, there are quite a few studies suggesting that Cox-2 Inhibitors and NSAIDs can delay or inhibit ovulation.

Here's a link to some more info, I tried to stay away from medical journal links because they can be overwhelming if you're not used to reading them.

MY OPINION would be to avoid all Cox-2 inhibitors while TTC and refrain from NSAID use for at least 3-5 days before expected ovulation until you are sure you have ovulated. Of course you need to talk with your doctor and weight the risks and benefits before starting/stopping any medication.
